About us

Who We Are

Curtainie started with a simple frustration — spending hours searching for curtain advice online and coming back with nothing useful.

Most of what’s out there is either too generic to apply to a real room, or written by someone who’s clearly never had to measure a bay window in their life. So we built something better. A blog written by people who actually think about this stuff — fabric weight, lining options, how morning light changes everything — and want to share what they’ve learned in plain, honest language.

No jargon. No filler. Just practical curtain guidance you can actually use.

What We Cover

From measuring your windows correctly to understanding the difference between eyelet and pencil pleat headings, Curtainie covers the full journey — whether you’re shopping for your first home or giving a well-loved space a fresh look.

We write about styles, fabrics, care tips, hanging techniques, and buying decisions. The kind of content that saves you from an expensive mistake or a curtain rail that doesn’t sit right.

Our Readers

Most of our audience is based in the UK and USA, so a lot of our guides are shaped around those markets — standard window sizes, popular retailers, seasonal light conditions. That said, good curtain advice travels well, and readers from all over the world are always welcome here.
